As a member of the NEMHS, you will be eligible to compete for our coveted year-end awards. A Grand Champion and Reserve Champion award is presented at the annual banquet for each eligible class. (See show rules for details.)

Members receive the annual NEMHS Show Book and club newsletters, plus a free subscription to the Equine Journal.

Annual farm memberships include a free link to your farm’s or family’s website on the NEMHS web pages. Farm memberships are also entitled to one free foal announcement on the home page of the club’s website.

All members may upload pictures to the NEMHS online photo gallery (registration required).

How to Join

To become a member, simply print and fill out the Membership Application Form (PDF file) and mail or fax it according to the contact information on the form. Membership types, associated privileges and rules are defined in the By-Laws.  The membership categories and fees for 2009 are as follows:

• An Individual Membership is only $35 per year.
  (For any adult age 19 or over who wishes to join as an individual
  member; includes voting rights and subscription to Equine Journal.)
  
• Associate Membership is $30 per year.
  (For any adult in a household which holds a Farm Membership;
  has voting rights, but subscriptions/mailings are not included.)
  
• “Farm” Memberships are $50 per year.
  (Includes up to two adults with voting rights, plus Youth membership
  for all eligible youth listed on application.)
  
• Youth Memberships are only $5 per year.
  (For youth 18 or under who wish to join as individual members;
  Equine Journal subscription is not included; Youth members cannot vote.)
